This animated take on the reality genre sees twenty-two teens competing in physical challenges in a dilapidated summer camp setting over a sixty day period. Season Two sees the name of the show change to Total Drama Action with fourteen teens competing in movie related challenges on a run down… More movie studio lot. In the third season, which has been titled Total Drama, the Musical , fifteen contestants - including brand new characters - will travel the world and burst into spontaneous every episode.

The final two players compete in a pirate-themed challenge that involves launching them from a canon.
The final four compete in a challenge with training animals of fur and feathers. Beth chooses to train a racoon, Owen chooses to train a bear, Courtney chooses to train a shark, and Duncan chooses to train a chameleon, which reminds him of Scruffy (his pet tarantula that was previously smashed by Harold).
The 5 remaining contestants compete in a space-themed challenge. The contestants all got packages containing something sent from the outside world. Owen got a trophy for being selfless (which makes him feel guilty because of the new role Chris gave him on the show), Duncan got his pet tarantula, Harold got his nunchucks, Courtney got a picture of her winning a school debate, and Beth got a candy ring from her boyfriend, Brady.
The episode opens with Beth and Courtney in the girl's trailer. Beth complains about how tired she is, while Courtney offers Beth a movie and snacks. Beth knows that Courtney just wants to form an allience with her, which she does, so Beth refuses.
