New Domino City has a new set of rules set down as the dueling rules have greatly evolved. Yusei Fudo has lost one of his most powerful cards and now the secrets of his birthright are out with Yusei in the spotlight as the new duel system is revealed.


Episode 77 – Dawn of the Duel Board, Part 1

It starts with Yusei and Akiza in a Turbo Duel. Yusei activates the effect of "Junk Archer", which removes "Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis", and then attacks directly. "Junk Archer" shoots another arrow, hitting a part of Akiza's Duel Runner, and her Life Points go from 4000 to 1700). Akiza starts to lose balance on her Duel Runner, but Yusei tells her to not try controlling it by force, and instead put more weight into it. Akiza does as he says, and she regains her grip and balance.

Episode 76 – Syd Is Vicious

Since the announcement of the World Racing Grand Prix, crimes involving Duel Runners have been rising throughout the city. Jack and Carly do some investigating one night and while waiting, they then witness a gang steal a number of Duel Runners and attempt to make their getaway.

Episode 75 – Acceleration

Yusei Fudo, Jack and Crow have just finished fixing up the engine of a Duel Runner. Just then Akiza appears before them in a leather outfit. Though she tells them of her uncertainty, Yusei reassures her the opposite. A flashback is shown in which Akiza tells him that she wants to know and feel the world of Turbo Dueling that Yusei experiences. With that, she has resolved to get her own license.

Episode 74 – Synchro Solution

The mysterious Vizor appears before Yusei and company. He tells Yusei that in his current condition, he can not defeat Ghost. He claims to know an alternate strategy to beat Ghost. Hearing this, Yusei follows him and both engage in a Turbo Duel. Yusei's friends watch the Duel. Akiza worries for Yusei especially since he is dueling someone they don't know, but Leo tells her that it's fine, because it is Yusei they're talking about.

Episode 73 – Synchro Straits

Yusei is still greatly bothered by not only Ghost and his "Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity", but also by Sherry's words to him during their Duel. He in unable to get rid of his fear of Ghost, so he asks Jack to Duel him. He chooses not to use Synchro Monsters during the Duel in order to help him find a counter to the Synchro-absorbing effect of Ghost's "Meklord Emperor". The Duel ends by Jack's request due to Yusei's state of mind. Jack tells Yusei he should still use Synchro Monsters, with Crow noting that the effect of "Wisel" is stilll a problem.
