Bleach is a Japanese manga series follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki after he obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki who arrives in search of a Hollow, a dangerous lost soul. His newfound powers force him to take on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife realm known as the Soul Society. Ichigo has a help from several of his spiritually aware classmates, Orihime Inoue, Yasutora Sado, and Uryū Ishida, and the ex-Soul Reapers Yoruichi Shihōin and Kisuke Urahara. After the war between the Soul Reapers, the Espadas, and Aizen, Ichigo loses them and becomes an ordinary human once again. But soon Ichigo meets “Xcution”, and their current leader Kūgo Ginjō, and starts training to regain his Soul Reaper powers by first developing his own Fullbring. Ichigo regains his Soul Reapers powers. The Soul Society forces end victorious with Ichigo killing Ginjō and Byakuya presumably killing Tsukishima. Little after that a group of Quincies called the “Vandenreich” declare war on the Soul Society.
Following the revelation that Kūgo Ginjō has been the enemy all along, he stabs Ichigo Kurosaki and declares that his Fullbring belongs to him. An injured Uryū Ishida looks up from the ground towards the stabbed Ichigo and thinks back to the time that Kūgo had attacked him using Shūkurō Tsukishima as a decoy.
Kūgo Ginjō calls out to Ichigo and tries to run to him, but is stopped by a falling chandelier. He turns around and sees Moe Shishigawara and the other Fullbringers, Moe tells him to pay attention since he is fighting them and that he can’t afford to be worrying about others. Kūgo wonders who he is, questioning if he made the chandelier fall.
Isshin and Urahara walk down the street during the night in silence. Isshin carries a blue, glowing sword. Ichigo and Kūgo Ginjō catch their breath. Kūgo informs Ichigo that they should be safe here for a while and that he kept the place in the event that Tsukishima found all of their safe houses. Not even Riruka or Kutsuzawa know of the hideout.
Uryū runs towards Orihime and Sado’s previous location, but finds himself to be too late. He reaches down to the ground and senses their Reiatsu. He notes that they probably haven’t been injured, he then senses a second Reiatsu. At Xcution’s alternate hideout, Ginjō puts down his tea and informs Ichigo that break time is over.
Orihime wakes up from an alarm in a room created for her by Yukio. She gets up and goes through her morning routine. She washes her face and brushes her teeth. Outside of the room Ichigo is sweating heavily from the push-ups Ginjō is making him do. He flips over onto his back, exhausted from the fourteen hundred push-ups he did.
